Our tropical paradise tends to attract some top notch people, including inspired and ambitious chefs and restaurateurs! And when you combine the natural beauty and ambience of our special little island, and the attention to detail and amuse bouche of an exciting plate of food, Siesta naturally holds the key to one of the most romantic experiences to be had on the Gulf of Mexico. And though our neighboring Sarasota, Bradenton, St. Pete Beach and Tampa all possess extraordinary dining experiences, we’ve limited our best-of list to Siesta Key and Siesta Key only.
Our top three favorite romantic restaurants on the key (plus a bonus suggestion):
- Ophelia’s on the Bay
Our neighbor, Ophelia’s, not only offers a fine dining dinner service with locally lauded food, the restaurant just so happens to share the same oceanfront views as we do at Turtle Beach Resort!
- Miguel’s Restaurant
Miguel’s is a local South Siesta Key landmark, serving European faire with a fine dining flair. Mention you’re staying at Turtle Beach Resort, and they might just throw in a little something extra.
- Turtle’s on Little Sarasota Bay
Turtle’s is our long-standing next-door neighbor. The views from their back deck are stunning—worthy of five stars—yet the food is much more approachable in price and presentation!
- Picnic goods from Crescent Market and dining al fresco on Turtle Beach!
And we’d venture to claim that nothing could be more romantic than gathering up a few picnic items and dining al fresco on our beloved Turtle Beach, especially at sunset!
The world is (quite literally) your oyster when you’re looking for romantic dining options on Siesta Key and Turtle Beach.
